If you are running Phoenix Financials, Transactions in Phoenix Livestock are activities that change the number of livestock. Each transaction implies a transaction in the Phoenix Physical Accounts and in the case of a sale or purchase, a transaction in a financial account also.
Activities that affect Phoenix Financial are:
•Purchases
•Sales
•Deaths
•Births
•Change of Class
Every Phoenix Livestock class can be linked to a Sub-account in Phoenix Financials. The link is not mandatory so you can elect to create a link between some classes in Phoenix Livestock and leave others unlinked. If you agist stock onto the property that are not owned by yourself, then a class (or classes) in Phoenix Livestock is created for those agisted stock and no link to Phoenix Financials is specified. All stock owned by yourself is allocated to a class that can be linked to a livestock Sub-account in Phoenix Financials.
If you wish to run the two systems independently with no integration then do not specify a Sub-account for any livestock class. See Setting up Classes for detail on setting the link.
