Phoenix has inbuilt functions that have been designed to give the user instant help during the use of the program.
When enabled, the Assistant gives a brief explanation of the item the mouse pointer is located on. The information is displayed just below the mouse pointer. The Assistant can be turned on or off from the Phoenix Suite screen. Select the Tools drop-down menu and click on Assistant in the menu. A tick indicates that the Assistant is enabled.

The status bar is located at the bottom left of the Work Screen. It describes what the program requires from the user at any given time. It does this by detailing the function of each option as the mouse pointer points to it. Use the status bar to remind you of what to do at any point within the program. The status bar also displays the name of the current folder, and the current system date and time.
