With the cursor in the Qty field, press C to reveal the Calculate Quantity Window. In this window, you can document how you arrived at the quantity for the worktable. For example, you might like to record that the Wheat to be sold will be 450 ha yielding 2.2 tonnes/ha so 990 tonnes total.
To enter this, just fill out the window as required.
The percentage can have a number of uses.
•A particular operation may be carried out twice in the month, i.e. 200%.
•A share farmer may only receive 60% of the income from the sale.
•Chemical may be applied to 35% of the paddock.
In each of these cases, the percent field can be used to record and calculate the quantity.
