The printing function is designed to print a true copy of the map as it appears on the screen. This takes into account zoom, ticked layers, layer legends, labels, symbols, and any other information you have displayed at the time. From there you can then customise the appearance and layout of the printed map.
Note: For the legend of any chosen layer to display on the printed map, the particular layer needs to be expanded in the layer manager.
To print, click the File drop-down menu then select Print (or Ctrl+P).
