Phoenix - User Help

Clearing and unclearing transactions is easy with the keyboard.

Press the + key to clear the highlighted transaction.

Press the – key to unclear the highlighted transaction.

The + and – keys on your number keypad are usually the easiest to use, rather than using the mouse.

When searching, if the first transaction found is not the correct one, press the F3 key to have Phoenix search further down the list of transactions.

As an alternative to the F3 key, you can use the Ctrl ¯ key combination instead. You can also go back to a previous match by pressing the Ctrl key combination.

A transaction can be found by searching for it. You start searching by typing the information you are looking for. This can be a dollar amount, a name, a cheque number, and so on. Phoenix searches anywhere in the transaction for the characters, as you type.

For example, the search characters “rad” finds the transaction for “NG Radiators”.

The search characters are removed ready for a new search whenever you clear or unclear a transaction, or move the highlight in the list of transactions.

You can sort the transactions by:

Transaction number (Tr#);

Reference;

Date;

From/Pay To;

Amount;

Cleared (Clr);

Use the mouse to choose the sort order by clicking the heading you want. For example, click the Date heading to sort in date order.
