At the top of the Selection Panel Window is the View mode option. You can select either Individual or Mob. This will then show animals that are manage in the respective management system.

Next are two tabs:- Location/Class (current view) and Status/Property. Click on Status/Property and another selection window will be available. It will be defaulted to view Active Animals and My Property. In this window you can select to view Sold, Died, Missing and Stolen animals. Also you can view all other properties you have setup by clicking Other Properties. This would be used if you have animals on agistment. The selections in this tab affect what is displayed in the Location/Class tab.

Below that is the Property/s and corresponding Paddocks in a tree view structure. Beside the name of each property will be a . If you click on the it will turn to a – and a list of Paddocks will be displayed below the property. To achieve the same effect for all, right mouse click and select Expand All. This will expand the property’s entire paddock list. Similarly right mouse click and select Collapse All to collapse the tree view.

Below the Properties window is the Animal window. Listed will be all Animal Types that have been setup. Again, beside each is a . Click on the + and it will turn to a – and a list of Classes will be displayed below the Animal Type. Right mouse click to expand or collapse the tree view.

Also beside each Property/Paddock and Animal Type/Class is a check box. Single mouse click in the box to add or remove a tick. The combination of ticks in both windows will determine the animals that are displayed in the Animal Panel. Alternatively you can right mouse click and select to Tick or Untick All.

The selection made in the Selection Panel will determine the animals displayed in the Animal Panel. Each line represents an individual animal.

By default, the Animal Panel displays four columns of animal information. They are Management Tag, Class, Location and number of days in that location. The columns that display in the Animal Panel can be customised. Refer to Settings for further information on how to do this.

The animals in the Animal Panel can be sorted by any column in ascending or descending order. Click on the column heading and a black arrow will appear indicating the sort order. To reverse the order, click on the heading again and the arrow will point in the opposite direction.

The animal in focus is highlighted in red. This indicates which particular animal details are currently being displayed in the Activity Panel.

On the left hand side column is a . If you click on the box, the details for the animal will be displayed in a box below. In the box are details such as NLISID and RFID, description, etc.

The next column over is check boxes. Click on the box to add or remove a tick. Animals with a tick indicate they are selected and will be included in any activity that is performed while a tick remains against the animal/s. Right mouse click anywhere in the grid and you will have the option to Tick All, Untick All and Invert Ticks. This is useful when all animals in the Animal Panel are to receive the common activity.

You can also select a range of animals by holding down the Shift key and clicking on the animal at the top of the range, then click on the bottom most animal of the range. All animals between will be selected with a tick against them.

At the bottom of the Animal Panel will be displayed the total number of animals showing in the Animal Panel and the total number of animals selected (ticked).

Column order can be changed by clicking on the column heading and holding the mouse button down then dragging to the new position.

At the top of the window is a search function. This will search Management Tag, NLISID and RFID. Start typing and it will show only the animals that meet that search criteria. This will narrow with the more of the ID you type in. The search is space sensitive. Delete contents or click the Clear button to return to complete animal listing.

Next to the search function is the import function key which allows you to import a file directly into the Animal Panel, thereby selecting the animals that were in the file. This will aid in identifying animals that missed the muster or an animal that has lost its device.

The Activity Panel, by default, will display an animal’s history. The animal in focus in the Animal Panel (highlighted in red) determines which animal is being viewed in the Activity Panel. At the bottom is a history summary grid. This grid can also be sorted by clicking on the column heading.

Above the grid are the details of the activity in focus (highlighted in blue) in the history grid. This is an easy way to quickly review the exact details of any activity that occurred to that animal.

At the top of the window is a toolbar. These buttons are:

allows you to edit the details of any activity in an animal’s history. When you click on Edit, a check box will appear immediately below the button. If you tick this box any changes made will apply to all other animals that received this activity. If you don’t tick the box, the changes will only apply to the one animal.

will save any changes you make to the activity.

will clear all fields of a new activity.

 will cancel the activity or any edits made to an existing activity.

 will remove this activity from for ALL animals.

will remove the activity of THIS animal.

When you select a Transaction, Event or Shift, the data entry for the activity will appear in the Activity Panel. After completing the details for the activity and click Save or Cancel, the window will revert back to the history screen.
