Phoenix 9 - User Help

Storage Type is either Stored or Bore/River. If you pump from a river into a dam then you would setup the dam and not the river. Water allocations will be handled by pumping activities into the dam. If you are irrigating directly from the river then setup the river under Bore/River.

Stored is for dams and ring tanks. With this option you have a Capacity button. This is to produce a capacity table and a volumetric graph.

Enter the full height above ground and select a measurement unit.

Do the same for depth below ground.

In increment, enter the interval of measurement you use in this water storage i.e. 0.1m.

Click Calculate. Down the left hand side will be a table with a row for every increment interval you set from full height to depth below ground.

Enter a capacity beside as many increments as you can, the more you enter the better the accuracy.

Click update.

The remaining blank increments will now be populated. A volumetric graph will also be produced for that storage.

Click Print to print the table with the volumetric graph as a wall chart.

NB: If you have made a mistake, click Calculate to reset the Graph.

Bore/River is for water sources that are not limited by capacity. They can however be limited by allocation. If it is under allocation then tick the Managed by Allocation check box.
