Phoenix Mapping can be used in conjunction with GPS devices. Information can be downloaded from and uploaded to GPS devices. To facilitate the exchange of information, Phoenix Mapping has two interface types available; Garmin and NMEA. If you are using a non Garmin GPS then you will need to use the NMEA interface.
Waypoints, Tracks and Routes can be uploaded and downloaded. The interface used however, will determine what functionality is available for waypoints, tracks and routes.
If you have precision guidance maps, e.g. from your tractor, they can be imported as a layer. Refer back to Creating a Layer on how to achieve this.
