Keyboard Shortcuts - Mapping

Key/s Action
Ctrl + Mouse ClickLimits the selection of objects to the active layer. Also provides ability to multi select objects on that layer.
AltHolding down the Alt key when in drawing and editing modes temporarily turns off snapping.
ShiftHolding down the Shift key when in drawing and editing modes will enable snapping to a line.
DeleteWhen in Edit Existing Object mode, it will delete the active or selected object.
Ctrl + ASelects All objects on the active or highlighted layer.
Ctrl + BCreate Buffers for selected object/s.
Ctrl + CCopy selected objects to different layer of same type with or without Object Properties or Object Data fields.
Ctrl + SSave the current project.
Ctrl + WLaunch the Layer Wizard.
Right Mouse ClickGives various menu options when performed in the main map window, in the Object Data tab and when in Move Labels mode.
Ins (Insert)Launches the Plot Points function.
Ctrl + ZUndo. When in Draw New Object or Edit Existing Object mode, it will undo the previous drawing action/s.
Ctrl + RRedo. When in Draw New Object or Edit Existing Object mode, it will redo the previous undo action/s.
Ctrl + OOpen an existing project.
Ctrl + NCreate a New project.
Shift + DeleteDeletes ALL objects on the active layer.
Ctrl + DeleteDeletes the active layer.
F1Help (Phoenix Help System).
Mouse WheelZoom in and zoom out. Need to select a layer in the layer list to activate this function.
F10View full extent of the project.
F11Zoom in
F12Zoom out
Double mouse clickWhen performed on a layer name in the layer list will open the Layer Properties.

Printing

Ctrl + PLaunches the Print Preview window. When in print preview, Ctrl + P again will print the current view.
Alt + DSwaps the view to the Designer tab.
Alt + VSwaps the view to the Preview tab.
Shift + ←↑→↓Re-sizes the selected object in the Print Design tab.
Alt + ←↑→↓Moves the selected object in the Print Design tab.
F5Refresh the Preview screen.

NB: + indicates that you press the key combination together.
