Phoenix has inbuilt functions that have been designed to give the user instant help during the use of the program.
The Assistant button is located on the Phoenix Suite Screen Toolbar, third from the right.
When selected, the Assistant button gives a brief explanation of the item the mouse pointer is located on. The information is displayed just below the mouse pointer. The Assist button may be turned on or off at any time during the operation of Phoenix. A keyboard shortcut for this function is Ctrl + F1. (That is hold Ctrl and press F1, or by simply clicking on the button.)

The status bar is located at the bottom left of the Work Screen. It describes what the program requires from the user at any given time. It does this by detailing the function of each option as the mouse pointer points to it. Use the status bar to remind you of what to do at any point within the program. The status bar also displays the name of the current folder, and the current system date and time.
