Phoenix 9 - User Help

When you first create a Set of Books you will be prompted to set up User Management and Security.  This is optional.  If you do not wish to have a password/s on your data and for it to be unencrypted, cancel, then Exit the User Management & Security window when it is shown.

If you would like to secure your data you can enable it at a later time. To setup security, choose "User Management & Security" from the Data menu in the Suite Screen.

Each person who requires access to a Phoenix Set of Books may be given their own username and password. Each Phoenix Set of Books has its own set of usernames and passwords.

Each user is assigned a Role. The Role sets the user’s permissions (what the user is allowed to do) in the given set of Phoenix data.

There are 2 steps required to set up security on a Set of Books:

1.Set the Security Level Required for the Set of Books. See Setting Security

2.Managing Individual Users.  See Creating and Managing Users and Creating and Managing Roles
