A transfer movement involves a transfer out of livestock from one account and a corresponding transfer in of the same livestock to another account. You do not need to make two entries. Phoenix automatically makes the corresponding transfer entry at the same time.
After selecting a transfer movement code, the corresponding transfer entry window appears on screen. After the first entry is completed, you then select the enterprise and category for the trading account of the corresponding transfer entry. You may then enter the reference number and comment that is to appear in the second trading account.
Note: For Farm Enterprise Reports it is suggested that movements between enterprises be valued at the prevailing net market value. Movements between categories within the same enterprise have no value attributed to them.
