Once you have created a layer, you are ready to begin drawing. The layer type must match the drawing function:
Polygon Layer: Used to create enclosed areas such as paddocks, vegetation areas, soils types, etc.
Lines Layer: Used to create lines such as pipelines, power lines, contours, railway lines, etc.
Points Layer: Used to create single points to mark such things as bores, troughs, waypoints to and from a GPS, etc.
